For me, the culture of an organisation is key; a culture where there is respect and support for people of all abilities and ways of thinking is where I belong. We are not perfect and there is more to be done, but I do see the intention is there and we are making good progress.
As an environmental consultant I know that the earth’s resources are finite and should be protected for future generations. For over 25 years my career has focussed on cleaning up the legacy of industrial pollution and helping clients operate with minimal impact on the environment. Ramboll has a clear purpose with ‘The Partner for Sustainable Change’ strategy, something I am very much aligned with.
Being actively inclusive of people who think differently and have different perspectives drives change and innovation. I am always impressed by the diversity of thought and level of commitment our people show to our clients and colleagues. The level of expertise in the company is second to none.
We have a set of clear leadership principles that help our leaders set the tone of the business through their day-to-day activities. Leaders should be advocates and allies for causes that can sometimes remain hidden and where challenge may be needed.
