##### Online roundtable talk on 29 September

# What does it take to design as water?

## Embracing a new paradigm

In the global planning and design community water sometimes becomes an afterthought or technical detail, even a problem, threat, or something we need to get rid of. And expressions such as ‘conquering the cloudburst” or ‘the fight against climate change’ insinuate a battle against nature instead of a collaboration with nature.

At this open online roundtable talk we invite everyone in to explore a new paradigm, “Design as Water”, where water is treated as a stakeholder – and perhaps even as a guide or teacher - within design process.

No long presentations but an interactive session where a dedicated conversation panel will share their reflections on this new paradigm and ping-pong live with input from the audience.
