Water stewardship gaining ground

In a world where water is becoming a scarce resource while 80 % of the wastewater is released into the environment without adequate treatment, industry can really make a difference by managing water more sustainably. The good news is that the concept of Water Stewardship is gaining ground rapidly and that industries across the world have started applying water reuse and circularity programs.

Who is the webinar for?

This webinar is for individuals who work in water-consuming industries or water/wastewater utilities, or who have a general interest in incentives, supports, methodologies and best practice that can take industrial water stewardship to the next level.

About the speakers

Cheryl Davis

Cheryl’s background is in the water industry, having served in management positions at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission for several decades. She is the Chair of one IWA Specialist group, the Chair of IWA’s Task Group on Sustainable Use of Water by Industry, and co-editor of a recent publication on sustainable industrial water use.

Eric Rosenblum

Eric is a licensed and board-certified environmental engineer who helps industrial and municipal clients through evaluation of alternatives, development of agreements, and design and implementation of sustainable water reuse projects. Previously, Eric managed South Bay Water Recycling and is a former executive board member of the WateReuse Association.

Niels Groot

Niels is a Water Technology professor at HZ University of Applied Sciences and a water specialist at Dow. Niels is a chemical engineer with a PhD in Catalysis and is employed as an internal water and wastewater advisor at Dow, supporting Dow’s production locations.

Susanne Knøchel

Susanne is Professor and Head of the FOOD Microbiology and Fermentation section at the Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen. Research involves basic and applied research from the molecular level of individual cells to characterization of complex microbial societies and all the way to the operational food production level.

Pat Campbell

Pat is Director of Ramboll’s wastewater treatment practice in the US serving both public and industry clients. Pat has over 25 years of technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment process and design engineering, treatment system operations and management, sustainable water use, and water permitting/planning.

Søren Nøhr Bak

Søren is an experienced water expert and business leader with +30 years’ experience dealing with water in the international Food & Beverage industry. He has gained this insight through working with business development, consultancy services for the F&B industry, R&D on patented hardware components and solutions, and expansion of new financial and digital offerings”
