Sustainability Conference 2021
Decarbonisation 2.0
In October, Ramboll Buildings hosted this year’s Sustainability Conference – Decarbonisation 2.0. The aim of the event was to share best practices for building sustainably and explore the latest trends within the sustainability domain such as the EU Taxonomy and regenerative design.
The conference highlighted the importance of challenging our client’s ambitions as well as collaborating across companies. Collaboration is the solution to make significant and sustainable differences in the world. We cannot change the world alone.
Introducing
Sustainability Dialogue Tool
One third of the respondents identify the lack of general understanding of the sustainability agenda as a barrier for incorporating sustainability issues in their organisation.
Ramboll’s Sustainability Dialogue Tool uses the World Green Building Council’s Advocacy Manifesto of 2019 as a framework for identifying eight relevant priority areas for the global real estate industry to meet the UN Sustainable Goals and the vision for a climate neutral by 2050.
When applied, the tool offers a graphical illustration of a project’s sustainability profile as well as an inspirational list of design elements for future implementation.
Sustainable Buildings
Amid the Pandemic
Flexibility, liveability, and safety will be key elements to long-term viability and success of office buildings.
In Ramboll, we are working systematically with pandemic response in many parts of the value chain. The Internet of Things (IoT) makes possible for optimisation of data analytics and mitigation of challenges posed by the pandemic. In dialogue with our clients, Ramboll has identified five primary themes that have consistently been raised during the pandemic: people flow, pinch points, workforce, wellness/user experience and investment.
