We'll begin with an overview of emerging EJ regulations and EJ tools developed by a variety of agencies. We'll then discuss the intended purpose of the most commonly used EJ tools, how the tools can be used to assess community demographics, environmental burdens and exposure, and how tools have informed company operations and project plans.

As businesses plan for new industrial facilities or to expand existing ones, EJ considerations are increasingly a priority in the early stages of site selection and development, particularly in the context of permitting. Our panel will use real-life examples to illustrate how EJ has factored into siting and permitting decisions and outcomes amidst the evolving federal and state regulatory landscape.
