Ramboll carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) program and an assessment report for the expansion of the phosphate mine. In the EIA procedure, a total of four different implementation options and the so-called zero option were evaluated.
Ramboll assessed the economic impact of the Sokli mining project, highlighting its effects on employment, investment, tax revenue, and local businesses in Savukoski, Lapland, and Finland. These insights support land-use planning, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.

Mawson Finland Limited’s Finnish subsidiary, Mawson Oy, has initiated the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report phase for the Rajapalot mining project and has selected Ramboll to carry it out.

Ramboll implemented EHS Compass with an emphasis on the Assessments module, configuring assessments to align with the voluntary sustainable mining standard’s criteria.
Galago provides a transparent and repeatable foundation for biodiversity assessment and decision-making. Combining remote sensing (drones, satellites) with machine learning (ML/AI) provides a cost-effective, efficient and robust method for biodiversity measurement, uplift and preservation. Provided data can be used in further planning and targeting of fieldwork.
