BRUTUS Lite for Cycling
Easier, faster and cheaper deployment on top of hard-core transport modelling methodologies.
The bicycle has an important role in creating livable places for people. Being able to understand the travel demand of cyclists and to evaluate the effect of different cycling infrastructure investments or policy measures is important for cities and regions to facilitate cyclists in the best possible way. Many public sector organizations rely largely on bicycle counting data at a limited number of places. Even though such data is very useful, it is hard to extrapolate these data to the overall cycling situation in the whole network.
BRUTUS Lite for Cycling enables detailed cycling flow and route analysis in an instant. BRUTUS Lite build on top of methodologies developed for BRUTUS by Ramboll but aims for easier faster and cheaper deployment by using widely available and standardized data sets. Proprietary methodology is used to extract cycling demand from mobile network data. No need to use large-scale transport models that often only larger metropolitan areas and regions have resources for acquiring.
