Global Biodiversity Metric
A tool for assessing biodiversity value based on key indicators of ecological integrity tailored to the IUCN Global Ecosystem Typology. This metric enables effective measurement and informed decision-making for biodiversity management at sites around the world.
Americas Biodiversity Metric
Tailored for North America, this metric is underpinned by select Ecological Integrity Assessment (EIA) criteria developed by NatureServe. Release 2.0 from June 2025 now includes habitats throughout the United States, Canada, and northern Mexico.
Note: Ramboll’s metrics primarily include terrestrial, select freshwater, and marine-transitional functional groups. The inclusion of habitats such as pelagic ocean waters, deep sea floors, and rivers and streams will be explored for future versions.
